Britney Spears has dedicated her new book, The Woman in Me, to her two estranged boys. In it, she talks about the sacrifices she made for them.

The pop star who is currently at the top of the charts told Page Six that her “boys” were the “love of her life” at the start of her book.

There had been rumors that Britney, 41, hadn’t talked to Preston, 18, or Jayden, 17, in almost two years.

In the book, the Toxic singer says she gave up her fight against the court’s decision to put her boys under conservatorship so she could spend more time with them.

It felt like they could hold my body down at any time after being put on a bed, she wrote. So I agreed with it. I was ready to give up my freedom in exchange for naps with my kids.

In an interview in August 2022, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin, 45, talked about how tense her relationship with her boys was. He said that they fought because she posted a lot of naked pictures on Instagram.

And he told ITV News, “I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager, having to go to high school. Who knows how many people ask them about it or talk to them about it?”

Britney was married to the DJ from 2004 to 2007. He said, “I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself,’ but that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough.”
