Jax Book Fest

Main Library | Downtown Jacksonville

The Jax Book Fest returns to the public library with a program of workshops, lit chats and, of course, stacks on stacks of books. New York Times-bestselling authors, including Jason Reynolds (Look Both Ways), Gabrielle Zevin (Tomorrow, And Tomorrow, And Tomorrow) and the “Belle of the bestseller list,” Vashti Harrison, (Little Leaders) will be on-hand on Saturday, along with more than 70 locally and Florida-based authors. Jax Photo Festival 

Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park | LaVilla

Some of the city’s most-accomplished lens-people – including Toni Smailagic, Malcolm Jackson, Michael Rakim and Ebony McKnight, among more than 20 others – will have their work on view at the newly-opened Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park for the inaugural Jax Photo Festival. 4 p.m.-9 p.m. Photo prints can be purchased with general admission tickets. Sing Out Loud Live Wildly Showcase 

Francis Field | St. Augustine

Sing Out Loud, the annual monthlong St. Augustine music festival, hosts its premier event, the two-day Live Wildly Showcase, at Francis Field. Rootsy singer Noah Kahan – who has been become a pop radio mainstay – and country artist Eric Church get top billing on a lineup that also features Norah Jones, Ryan Bingham, ‘90s alt-rock faves the Breeders, hometown heroes JJ Grey & Mofro and many more.
