The ANH Academy is now accepting applications for our new Science-Policy Fellowships, which provide career-development opportunities to change food systems and nutrition-related policy by generating, translating and positioning actionable evidence.
We will fund three researchers for one year of full-time work to:
- Support evidence-based decisions by a policy-making organization in Sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia, using results of recently conducted scientifically valid impact assessments, program evaluations or other policy analyses; and
- Build skills and experience in translating and positioning scientific evidence to guide policies and programs that increase use of healthy diets or reduce loss and waste in SSA or SA, with attention to climate change and the environment, equity and gender transformative actions.
Candidates may be from any country or background, with an earned doctorate in any field, at any career stage. We are especially interested in candidates from academia and research institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa or South Asia, and those working elsewhere who might return to their home country for this work. Proposals must specify how they would use recent evidence to inform decisions, spending a significant portion of the year spent in a policy organization under guidance of a policy mentor.
Apply before 14 February 2025 for work to start any time between June and December 2025.
