Mankato district offers free nutrition, wellness sessions to parents, caregivers

MANKATO — The Mankato School District’s Community Education Department is offering free nutrition and wellness sessions designed to foster healthy eating habits for families.

The sessions for parents and caregivers will include presentations by registered dietitians.

Clases are 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 10, March 10 and April 7 at the Center for Learning, 15 Map Drive.

A complimentary meal will be served 5:30 p.m. in the building’s cafeteria. Free child care will be available.

Topics will range from “Introducing Solid Food to Your Baby” to “Fostering a Healthy Relationship With Food.” Meal-planning strategies will be discussed.
