Rocket City Dog Bar holding ‘Carnival Canine Day’ to benefit visual arts in the community

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – The Rocket City Dog Bar is bringing the fun to the community for a good cause.

This Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Carnival Canine Day is happening at the dog bar to support both the Carnegie Visual Arts Center and Hector, a 200-pound english mastiff, and his campaign for Carnegie Sir Bow Wow!

Win Keller with the Rocket City Dog Bar and Hector’s dog mom Amy Mayfield recently joined 48 Now to talk about everything in store for this Saturday’s special event as well as Hector’s ongoing campaign!

“The Carnegie Carnival has royalty candidates,” Mayfield said. “They have King, Queen, Prince, Princess and then Sir Bow Wow and Lady Barks-A-Lot. So, it’s a really fun competition and basically whoever raises the most money in their category gets crowned. So, Hector is hoping to raise a lot of money that is desperately needed and then also be crowned Sir Bow Wow.”
