MIDDLETOWN CRUNCH FITNESS TO TALK WITH SOME OF THE PARTICIPANTS. 110 FLOORS. THAT’S HOW MANY FLOORS ARE IN THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. TWIN TOWERS. AND ON SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2001, AMERICA WAS CHANGED FOREVER. NOW, HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE OUT IN LOUISVILLE ARE COMING OUT TO THEIR LOCAL CRUNCH FITNESS TO DO THE NINE OVER 11 STAIR CLIMB CHALLENGE TO HONOR FIRST RESPONDERS AND THOSE WHO PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE BY WALKING THOSE 110 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. JUST TO SHOW THAT WE CARE, EVEN AFTER ALL THESE YEARS PAST, WE STILL WANT TO SHOW ALL OF OUR FIRST RESPONDERS HOW MUCH THAT DAY MEANT TO NOT JUST US, BUT EVERYBODY ACROSS THE COUNTRY. SO WE WANT TO DO IT ANY WAY WE CAN JUST TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT. IT’S A CHALLENGE. CRUNCH FITNESS HOSTS TO HELP HONOR, BUT ALSO A CHALLENGE IN AN EFFORT TO HELP REMEMBER FIRST RESPONDERS ON 9/11 WHO CLIMBED THE STAIRS AT THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. THE TOTAL CLIMB IS 2220 STEPS. YOU REALIZE I COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT. I LITERALLY COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT. SO FOR THAT, IT’S LIKE, OKAY, I HAVE SO MUCH MORE RESPECT FOR THESE FIRST RESPONDERS THAT SAVED LIVES. TRAINER, STAFF MEMBERS AND GYM MEMBERS ALL PARTICIPATED IN THE CHALLENGE. SOME, LIKE NEIL RAO, WHO COMPLETED THE CHALLENGE AS A WAY TO PUSH THEMSELVES AND HONOR THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES THAT DAY. THE ONLY THING THAT KEPT ME GOING WAS LIKE THERE WERE PEOPLE THAT WERE DOING THIS WITH LIKE 100 POUNDS OF GEAR ON THEIR BACK, COMPLETELY SWEATY, LIKE IN A DISASTER ZONE, LIKE RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES AND FOR OTHER PEOPLE’S LIVES. FOR OTHERS, LIKE GREGORY WILLETT, IT’S MORE PERSONAL. I DID THE STAIR CLIMB CHALLENGE BECAUSE TO HONOR A NINE OVER 11 VICTIM WHO PASSED AWAY, BILLY MINORITY, WHO DID FINANCE WORK IN NEW YORK CITY. I KNOW HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER, AND ALTHOUGH THE CHALLENGE ITSELF IS NOT AN EASY FEAT, IT ALLOWS THOSE TO HONOR THE SACRIFICES THAT WERE MADE 23 YEAR
