‘มนต์รักลูกทุ่ง’ นับเป็นบทประพันธ์ที่กำเนิดจากโลกเซลลูลอยด์แท้ ๆ ไม่กี่เรื่องของไทยที่สร้างภาพจำและชื่อเสียงให้นักแสดงมานักต่อนัก จากยุคมิตร-เพชรา ในฉบับภาพยนตร์ฟิล์ม 16 มม.สู่จอแก้วในฉบับละครโทรทัศน์ถึง 4 ครั้งสู่ครั้งแรกในฉบับละครเวทีมิวสิคัลโดยได้ นัฐพงศ์ วงษ์กวีไพโรจน์ ผู้กำกับจาก ‘เรื่องเล่าคืนเฝ้าผี’ มากุมบังเหียนจากบทละครดัดแปลงโดย วิชญ์วิสิฐ หิรัญวงษ์กุล [embedded content] เนื้อหาที่คุ้นเคย (และเคยเห็นมานาน) เมื่อเสียงเพลง ‘มนต์รักลูกทุ่ง’ จากน้ำเสียงหวาน ๆ ของ เปาวลี พรพิมล ในบททองกวาวช่วงเปิดม่านได้เริ่มต้นขึ้น ผู้ชมก็ได้พบกับเรื่องราวที่คุ้นเคยเมื่อความรักอันแสนบริสุทธิ์ระหว่าง คล้าว (รับบทโดย กิตติธัช แก้วอุทัย) หนุ่มหน้ามนคนจนแห่งท้องทุ่งนาหลงรัก ทองกวาว สาวสวยที่หนุ่ม ๆ ต่างหมายปอง แต่ชะตาก็กลั่นแกล้งเมื่อพ่อทองก้อน (รับบทโดย ต่อตระกูล จันทิมา) คิดกีดกันหัวใจของพวกเขาด้วยการส่งทองกวาวไปอยู่กับป้าทองคำ (รับบทโดย อัญชุลีอร บัวแก้ว) และหวังรวบหัวรวบหางหาสามีให้ทองกวาวก่อนคล้าวจะหาเงินสิบหมื่นมาสู่ขอคนรักของเขาได้ ว่ากันถึงเนื้อเรื่องแล้วคงต้องบอกว่าสิ่งที่คาดหวังเอาไว้ก่อนเข้ามาดูกับสิ่งที่ปรากฎบนเวทีถือว่าผิดคาดไม่น้อย และฉากเปิดเรื่องเองก็ทำให้เราคิดไปแล้วว่ามุมมองของ ‘มนต์รักลูกทุ่ง’ คราวนี้น่าจะถูกเล่าในมุมมองของทองกวาว แต่หลังโน้ตตัวสุดท้ายของเพลงไตเติลจบลงพร้อมประโยค “มีคนเคยร้องเพลงนี้ให้ฉันฟังเมื่อนานมาแล้วจ๊ะ” เรื่องราวก็ห่างไกลจากมุมมองของทองกวาวไปทุกทีเพราะตัวเรื่องเองก็เดินตามบทภาพยนตร์ของ…
