โตโยต้าเปิดตัวรถใหม่ ที่ไม่ใช่รถไฟฟ้า แต่ว่าเป็นรถสำรวจดวงจันทร์ !
สำหรับแฟนคลับรถยนต์โตโยต้าที่รอรถยนต์พลังงานไฟฟ้ารุ่นใหม่อาจต้องอดใจรอไปก่อน เพราะตอนนี้โตโยต้าเปิดเผยแนวคิดในการพัฒนารถยนต์สำรวจดวงจันทร์ในวาระฉลอง 50 ปี CALTY Design Research แผนกออกแบบรถยนต์ของโตโยต้าที่ตั้งในแคลิฟอร์เนีย สหรัฐอเมริกา ตัวรถมีชื่อว่า BLC หรือ Baby Lunar Cruiser ล้อไปกับรถสำรวจคันจริงที่องค์การสำรวจอวกาศแห่งญี่ปุ่น หรือ JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) ทำกับโตโยต้าขึ้นมา โดย BLC นั้นมีส่วนคล้ายกับ FJ40 รถยุค 1960 ในตระกูล Land Cruiser ที่เป็นตำนาน ซึ่งเป็นการนำการออกแบบในอดีตกลับมา ตัวรถสำรวจดวงจันทร์คันนี้ใช้มอเตอร์ไฟฟ้าในการขับเคลื่อนซึ่งติดตั้งใกล้กับตัวล้อทั้ง 4 ล้อ ยางทุกล้อใช้ยางแบบไร้ลม ตัวรถมีอยู่ทั้งหมด 2 ประตู และนั่งได้ทั้งหมด 4 คน พร้อมแร็ควางของบนหลังคารถ ในการออกแบบของโตโยต้าได้กำหนดให้รถควบคุมด้วยจอยสติ๊กแบบคู่ที่ตำแหน่งคนขับ ซึ่งสามารถแสดงผลแบบโฮโลแกรม (Hologram) เป็นกราฟิกลอยได้ พร้อมหน้าจอกลางขนาดใหญ่ ที่ไว้แสดงข้อมูลการขับขี่ กับรับภาพจากภายนอก พร้อมสิ่งอำนวจความสะดวกสำหรับนักสำรวจ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นที่วางของ หลังคาพาโนรามิก…
