ทีมสัตวแพทย์เผยแผนและแนวทางการรักษาลูกช้างป่าบาดเจ็บ อุทยานแห่งชาติทับลาน 13 พ.ย.66 จากกรณีลูกช้างป่าบาดเจ็บในเขตอุทยานแห่งชาติทับลาน ทีมสัตวแพทย์กรมอุทยานแห่งชาติ สัต์ป่า และพันธุ์พืช ได้หารือร่วมกันกับทีมสัตวแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาตร์ วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านช้าง และสัตวแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการผ่าตัดซ่อมแซมกระดูก โดยมีความเห็นร่วมกันว่า “ควรใช้วิธีรักษาโดยการผ่าตัดซ่อมแซมกระดูกตามวิธีที่เหมาะสม” โดยในช่วงระหว่างวันที่ 13-17 พฤศจิกายน 2566 นี้ ทีมสัตวแพทย์จะได้ทำการเตรียมสภาพร่างกายลูกช้างป่าให้พร้อมสำหรับการเคลื่อนย้าย (การเดินทาง) และเตรียมร่างกายให้พร้อมสำหรับการผ่าตัดซ่อมแซมกระดูก ณ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขต กำแพงแสน ทั้งนี้ทีมสัตวแพทย์กรมอุทยานฯ ได้วางแผนเคลื่อนย้ายลูกช้างป่า ในวันที่ 16-17 พ.ย. 66 โดยจำเป็นจะต้องตรวจความพร้อมของสภาพร่างกายสัตว์เป็นหลัก ซึ่งได้ประสานงานกับทางมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขต กำแพงแสน เป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว และทางทีมสัตวแพทย์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาตร์ วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน มีความยินดีและมีความพร้อมในการช่วยดำเนินการผ่าตัดรักษาตามวิธีการที่เหมาะสม รวมถึงการดำเนินการเตรียมความพร้อมสถานที่รองรับลูกช้างป่าสำหรับการปรับสภาพก่อนทำการผ่าตัด และพักฟื้นชั่วคราวหลังทำการผ่าตัด สำหรับวิธีการซ่อมแซมโดยการผ่าตัดกระดูกทุกวิธีนั้นจะต้องทำการวางยาสลบ และมีความเสี่ยงสูงต่อชีวิตลูกช้างป่า ทั้งก่อนผ่าตัด ขณะผ่าตัด หลังผ่าตัด และผลที่ได้จากการผ่าตัดยังคงมีความเสี่ยงสูง โดยทีมสัตวแพทย์เห็นตรงกันว่า “ทุกอย่างมีความเสี่ยง แต่จะทำการรักษาให้ดีที่สุดตามหลักวิชาการ” และในขณะนี้สัตวแพทย์ได้ทำการรักษาด้วยวิธีการพันซัพพอร์ตขา เพื่อช่วยทำการพยุงน้ำหนัก ลดอาการเจ็บปวด…
