‘Wednesday’ Star Jenna Ortega Speaks of ‘Another Door Slammed’ on Her Face

Due to her outstanding performance in the Netflix series Wednesday, Jenna Ortega has amassed a large fanbase.

The 21-year-old Ortega gave Wednesday Addams a new lease on life, leaving an indelible mark on the audience.

Prior to becoming a household name in her industry, the youthful icon encountered a number of obstacles and challenges.

The viral sensation revealed in her autobiography, It’s All Love, how she felt after losing a role in a family adventure comedy film.

Despite the “chemistry seemed to be there” and a strong connection with the main characters, she did not receive the role and wrote, “Despite everything, in the end, it didn’t happen. How I cried when I heard the news!”

This was not the only setback that occurred. She subsequently lost a role in a blockbuster film, and upon hearing the news, she thought, “there you go, another door slammed in my face.”

The actress, who began her career as a child star, waited until the “right time” to “play more adult and serious roles when I was ready.”

Prior to delivering her outstanding performance in Wednesday, Jenna was a horror icon, having starred in Scream V and Scream VI, both of which were part of the Scream franchise.

She is scheduled to reprise her role as Tara Carpenter in Scream 7, but the talented actress has other projects in development.

Jenna Ortega will portray Lydia’s daughter in Warner Bros.’s Beetlejuice sequel.

It is anticipated that the film will be released in 2024, but the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes could affect the release date.
