DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A man died after he was shot in a car in a drive-by shooting in Durham in broad daylight Saturday afternoon, police said.
The incident was reported just after 5:10 p.m. as a gunshot wound in the 3600 block of Keystone Place, according to a news release from the Durham Police Department.
When officers arrived they found a car in the parking lot with a man inside who had at least one gunshot wound.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said it appears the victim was traveling as a passenger in a white sedan with another man driving near the intersection of Dearborn Drive and Old Oxford Road.

“The suspect vehicle pulled up beside them, fired multiple rounds into the passenger’s side of the white sedan, and fled,” the police news release said.
The driver of the white sedan continued heading west on Dearborn Drive, turned right on Keystone Place, parked the vehicle, and ran away.
