
SAN JACINTO, CA — One person was killed and four people were rushed to a hospital Thursday after a five-vehicle crash in San Jacinto.
The crash was reported around 7:40 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of San Jacinto Avenue and Ramona Expressway, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
One person died at the scene prior to first responder arrival, two people suffered serious injuries, two additional people suffered minor injuries and three others were evaluated by paramedics, but refused further medical care. Two of the people required extrication, according to the fire department.

Ramona Expressway between Eagle Road and San Jacinto Avenue was closed for an unknown period for investigation.
The fire department advised the public to avoid the area.
