When it comes to home decorating, there are a million opinions out there telling you what to do and how to do it. So what should have been a fun project becomes an overwhelming chore—and it shouldn’t be! If you’re still searching for the perfect home decor to spruce up your home for spring, we chatted with an interior designer for tips on making your space feel light and bright, and most importantly, like you.
“Pick up pieces that you love enough and would actually want to leave out year-round,” Brittney Morgan, interior designer and owner of Brittney Quinn Interiors, tells Real Simple. “That means shopping mindfully and buying items that you will be excited to bring out year after year.” This ensures that “you’re collecting items that fit in seamlessly with your personal style,” she continues. And while there are pieces that are quintessentially “spring,” Morgan confirms that there’s much more to explore beyond the one season.
While pastels and cute bunnies are classic spring themes, Morgan explains that you can still accomplish that airy feel at home in other fun, unique ways. Think decor pieces in deep or richer shades and botanical, mushroom, or even insect motifs that she reassures “can be pretty!” Below, you’ll find some stellar home decor picks at Amazon, including cute candles, vases, floral coasters, and decorative serving trays from Paddywax, Lenox, and Costa Farms, starting at $7.

Paddywax Ripple Salted Iris 12-Ounce Candle
“Filling your home with fresh spring scents can be just as powerful, if not moreso, for creating a seasonal vibe in your space as aesthetic changes,” Morgan says. This specific Paddywax candle is one of her favorites, especially with the lavender-hued jar and rippled edging that she says is “just the thing for spring.” The three-wick candle has a soy base with notes of bergamot, lavender, fig, and sage. And once you burn through the candle, keep the vessel around as decor as a coffee table centerpiece or a trinket dish on your vanity.
Nnxhwy Clear Mushroom Flower Vase
If you’re looking for a fun vase for dried flowers or growing buds, Morgan suggests this vintage-looking mushroom option that she personally has at home. “I love that it feels trendy now, but also vintage and classic at the same time,” she says. The mushroom vase is made with durable, borosilicate glass and has little holes on the top to slip in dainty sprigs of greenery. It comes in three earthy colors, as well as a multicolor set for mixing and matching.
Fanhuashijn Flower Resin Drink Coasters
While seasonal decor is nice to look at, Morgan confirms it “does not need to be in your face from floor to ceiling.” Instead, she suggests adding in small details like these cute botanical coasters that “add touches of whimsy, color, and life to your home.” The stylish coasters have a resin base with pressed flowers in between, essentially bringing the outdoors in. Plus, the set of four features natural florals, making each coaster truly unique.
