2 gunshot victims at CRMC following reports of car to car shooting in Fresno


The Fresno Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that wounded two people in Fresno.

It happened around 4:00 a.m. in the area of Kerney Blvd and Marks Ave.

The 911 caller told police that it looked like the people in two different cars were shooting at each other.

Police responded to the location but did not find any victims, vehicles, or shell casings at the scene.

While investigating they learned two gunshot victims had been dropped off at Community Regional Medical Center.

Officers responding to CRMC say one shooting victim was just going into surgery in critical condition while the other was being treated for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the department’s Felony Assault are responding to the scene and CRMC to begin their investigation.

The intersection where the shooting took place will remain closed while officers look for evidence.
