BOWLING GREEN, KY.- The most wonderful time of the year is officially here, and you can experience the joy of Christmas at the 9th annual Gingerbread House Contest.

When you enter South Central Kentucky Performing Arts Center,  you are hit with the sweet scent of cookies. When you see the creative concepts and designs it instantly feels like Christmas.

Deborah Stein, development assistant of the Gingerbread Contest describes what it’s like to experience the contest. She says, “The room just smells like sugar and gingerbread. So I think that’s fun, and if you see kids come here you can see their faces light up and you can see the joy that they have from seeing all the different creations. It’s amazing.”

If you haven’t seen the gingerbread exhibit at the SKYPAC, you still have until December 17. If you stop by you will also get your own gingerbread kit for free, thanks to Baird Financial. Don’t worry, if you miss this year. The 10th annual Gingerbread Contest will be bigger than ever.
