2024 Kansas City Auto Show kicks off at Bartle Hall this week

AND BARTLE HALL ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, THE CARS TODAY REALLY ARE COMPUTERS ON WHEELS, AND EACH MODEL YEAR TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION KEEPS CHANGING AND GROWING AND IMPROVING AND ADAPTING THE KANSAS CITY AUTO SHOW IS EXPECTED TO BE ONE OF THE LARGEST EVER HIGHLIGHTING EVS. IN PARTICULAR, THERE’S EVEN A SPOT WHERE PEOPLE CAN CHOOSE ONE OF 11 EVS AND RIDE ALONG INSIDE ON A ROAD COURSE, WHICH ALLOWS CONSUMERS TO TAKE A TEST RIDE IN THE LATEST ELECTRIC VEHICLES. BUT THE MOST ANTICIPATED NEW CAR THIS YEAR, THE ALL NEW, ALL ELECTRIC VW BUZZ. IT’S ONE OF THOSE MINIVANS PATTERNED AFTER THE VW EV BACK FROM THE 60S. 2024 Kansas City Auto Show kicks off at Bartle Hall this week

The Kansas City Auto Show is back in Kansas City this week at Bartle Hall.The nearly 100-year-old event begins in downtown on Thursday, March 14 and runs through Sunday, March 17.This year’s show showcases emerging technologies, specifically in the Electronic Vehicle space.The event draws thousands of car lovers, shoppers, and automobile enthusiasts throughout the Midwest. “The momentum is strong for the 2024 show,” Kansas City Auto Show Producer Larry Carl said. “With tickets sales and brand participation building back out of the pandemic, we’re positioned to offer an exciting attendee experience. The show generates consumer interest and buzz for new vehicles, kicking off the spring market for the local new car dealers we support.” Car brands appearing at the 2024 KC Auto Show include Alfa Romeo, Buick, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lincoln, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Ram, Toyota and Volkswagen.“The Kansas City Auto Show is a cornerstone event for the city. We are excited to open our doors again this March and welcome attendees to experience the exciting technology and styling of the latest vehicles,” Richard Webb, 2024 Auto Show Chairman and Principal at Elevated Nissan of Kansas City, said in a press release.Highlights include the return of the Electric Vehicle Experience, a multi-branded indoor Electric Vehicle ride-along. Riders can choose from up to 11 EV vehicles and take two thrilling trips around the indoor track.Volkswagen also will be showcasing the eye-catching, retro VW ID. Buzz, a retro electric camper prototype.There are plenty of non-EV highlights as well: Ford will offer showgoers its racing simulator, as well as education about its Ford BlueCruise autonomous driving feature.Nissan will hold a Pathfinder Scavenger Hunt and have giveaways for showgoers.Mercedes will be offering a children’s drawing contest: “Draw Yourself in the Car of Your Dreams” with art kits as prizes!The Kansas City Automotive Museum’s exhibition of classic and vintage vehicles.Tickets are $20 for adults at the box office, but $17 if purchased online.Children ages 8-12 are $8 online and $10 at the door, while kids ages seven and younger may enter for free. Special pricing for military personnel and first responders in uniform is also available.Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.There are $12 adult tickets during Big 12 basketball tournament games if you wear basketball gear from your favorite Big 12 team!
