2024 Mustang donated to Dow High School’s auto tech program

MIDLAND, Mich. (WNEM) – Midland Ford donated a Mustang so students in Dow High School’s auto tech program can learn the latest in automotive technology.

“Without further ado, here is your guys’ brand new 2024 Ford Mustang, 5-liter stick shift,” said a representative with Midland Ford.

The program’s teacher said with the new car, students will now have a seamless transition for jobs at dealers or mechanic shops.

Kayla Lemmer, a student who’s graduating this year, said the program has prepared her to take the next step, and the new Mustang will only better prepare future students.

“Nowadays, everything controlled by electronics, so it’s going to be a great opportunity for kids to learn about the electrical side,” she said. “I’m actually going in the Army National Guard to be a mechanic, so I’ve already went through looking at some of the training and I already learned a lot of those things […] It’s like a huge step forward for me, I feel, I have on a lot of other students ‘cause they haven’t taken this class.”

The 2024 convertible Mustang has a sticker price of about $70,000.
