The 2025 Tony Awards were doled out in style Sunday night as three-time Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo hosted from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

One of the most anticipated races of the night was Best Actress in a Musical. Six-time Tony winner Audra McDonald had been leading our odds for her performance in Gypsy since the nominations were announced, until Sunset Boulevard‘s Nicole Scherzinger took the lead for the first time last week. But on Thursday, McDonald pulled ahead again, buoyed by her recent victory at the Drama Desk Awards and various Tony voter surveys noting that she has a narrow advantage, likely due to the Patti LuPone controversy.

Performances featuring many of this year’s nominees are set to dazzle on stage. Among the announced acts are Buena Vista Social Club, Dead Outlaw, Death Becomes Her, Floyd Collins, Gypsy, Maybe Happy Ending, Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical, Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Sunset Blvd., Just in Time, and Real Women Have Curves, along with a special Hamilton reunion and Broadway Inspirational Voices.

Early winners will be announced during the Tony Awards: Act One, hosted by Darren Criss and Renée Elise Goldsberry, at 6:40 p.m. ET/3:40 PT on Pluto TV. The main ceremony will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ with Showtime at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
