West Virginia (WOAY) – Vouchers for the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program are now available for eligible seniors across the Mountain State through their county’s senior services.
The federally funded program provides low-income senior citizens greater access to fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, honey, and herbs from participating farmers’ markets, roadside stands, and community-supported agriculture programs.
Seniors aged 60 and over who meet the income eligibility requirements can sign up for the program at their local senior center.
If approved, they will receive a booklet of vouchers worth $ 30, containing three $10 vouchers.
Vouchers are valid June 2 through October 31.
For more information on the program, visit agriculture.wv.gov or call 304-558-2210.
