DETROIT, MI – A $100 million donation from Stephen Ross, land donation and purchases were approved by University of Michigan regents Thursday to move forward with its Center for Innovation project in Detroit.
The resolutions approved at the Oct. 19 Board of Regents meeting on the Flint campus include Ross’s gift paid out over the next 10 years, a two-acre donation at Grand River Avenue and West Columbia Street in Detroit, a purchase of another acre nearby and the hiring of an architectural firm to design the building.
