3 things to know about the New York Auto Show


WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – The New York International Auto Show is highlighting the newest innovations in automotive technology. It opens to the public on March 29 and will run through April 7.

So, what can you expect to see?

First, there will be an extensive display of the very latest fully electric and hybrid models from manufacturers like Volkswagen, Nissan and Ford.

Second, many manufacturers are focused on making EVs and hybrids more affordable, so you can expect to see cars spanning multiple different price points from more affordable to more expensive.

Finally, manufacturers are showing off significant advancements in technology, including a new feature displayed on the Hyundai Santa Fe, which can detect who is getting into a vehicle by using a person’s fingerprint.

The New York Auto Show is being held at the Javits Center in New York City. Tickets are $22 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under.
