4 things to remember from the Burberry Fall/Winter 2024-2025 fashion show

Amy Winehouse, a true British icon, was the soundtrack for the Burberry show. The Fall/Winter 2024-2025 collection by Daniel Lee not only took on the aesthetic codes of the British house, but it also celebrated England in a broader sense, with an overt reference to its unpredictable weather. Here is everything to remember from the Burberry Fall/Winter 2024-2025 fashion show presented in London, from the set, which was like an enchanted forest, to the five-star cast, electrifying soundtrack and the reimagining of the trench coat with comfort as a priority.

In the heart of the forest

Daniel Lee unveiled the looks of his new Fall/Winter 2024-2025 collection for Burberry from within a gigantic tent – dimly lit and covered with scented fake grass – planted in the heart of the famous Victoria Park. The designer chose to celebrate nature and the codes of outdoor clothing that are intrinsic to the DNA of the house. The colors were organic, inspired by British landscapes. Very quickly, prominent celebrities rushed to the front row, from Barry Keoghan (who has been catching everyone’s attention since his performance in Salburn) to Tina Kunakey, not to forget Georgia May Jagger and Lila Moss.

An iconic soundtrack

As soon as the lights went out, the soulful voice of Amy Winehouse echoed. Back to Black, You Know I’m No Good, Half Time… All the greatest hits of the British singer interspersed with snippets of her interviews carried Daniel Lee‘s collection for Burberry. “I love London… The smell of London when it rains,” she said. Like Winehouse, who passed away in 2011, Daniel Lee is originally from Bradford in the West of England and proved his love for the British capital through a collection imbued with details from purely British aesthetics.

Ultimate protection

There was a strong focus on protection, warmth, and, by extension, on coats. Agyness Deyn, the first model to emerge from the shadows, wore a trench coat with a high collar as if preparing for the harsh British inclement weather ahead. Others presented the same model emblazoned with the house’s signature check pattern. There were also duffle coats and leather puffer jackets, which came both oversized and adorned with faux fur. Scarves were worn on the head like headscarves (similar to Queen Elizabeth II when captured by photographers in the wild at Balmoral). The show was actually about celebrating comfort and bringing the outside in.

A star-studded cast

Many top models graced the runway of the Burberry Fall/Winter 2024-2025 fashion show by Daniel Lee. After Agyness Deyn, Lily Donaldson, Lily Cole, Karen Elson, Edie Campbell, and Naomi Campbell also walked the runway, and Naomi Campbell lit up the runway in a dress evoking nature, specifically the moss found on trees. The biggest surprise of the show was Maya Wigram, the daughter of Phoebe Philo (the designer who made her long-anticipated comeback to the fashion scene in 2023), who closed the show in style.
