Five people are hurt after a car went down a ravine near Castle Craig in Meriden Tuesday evening, police said.

The police department said a car went off the road in Berlin. The road takes you directly to Meriden’s Castle Craig.

Authorities said five people were injured, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Police are at the scene investigating. An NBC Connecticut crew is headed to the scene.
