Coldplay Star Chris Martin Opens Coffee Shop to Benefit Homeless Charity

Chris Martin is pitching in to help people in need.

Chris, 46, served coffee and cakes alongside other volunteers at the homeless charity Crisis’s Finsbury Park, North London, office.

The Coldplay frontman, who is dating Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson, frequently volunteers with the homeless organization and works at the warehouse on Christmas Eve.

According to The Sun, the charity asked him to help in the shop this year because they already had enough people performing contribution processing behind the scenes.

Saturday afternoon photos released by the band Coldplay’s official X (previously Twitter) page showed him grinning with other volunteers behind the desk.

He was dressed in a T-shirt that read “Love Is The Drug,” the title of Roxy Music’s legendary 1975 single.

Crisis Chief Executive Matt Downie described the artist as “one of the nicest people you could hope to meet” and a “treasured, long-standing volunteer and supporter.”

He told the Sun, “We’re immensely grateful to Chris for giving his valuable time today to volunteer at our Shop from Crisis Finsbury Park store, where he helped make our customers’ Christmas shopping extra special.”
