Kate Middleton Responds to Omid Scobie’s Remarks

Omid Scobie’s words were proven incorrect by Kate Middleton’s actions, when the Princess upped her workload in 2023.

Omid Scobie, a royal novelist, has received a suitable answer from Prince William’s wife for his dig at the Princess of Wales in his contentious remarks in which he dubbed the future Queen as one of the royal family’s laziest members.

The amount of royal events for Prince William’s bride has increased this year, putting an end to Meghan Markle’s’mouthpiece’ Scobie’s accusations that she was notorious for avoiding royal obligations.

According to data from digital PR agency Reboot, Kate’s engagements increased by 2% this year, from 90 in 2022 to 92 in 2023.

The Princess of Wales is now third on the list of people whose commitments have grown the greatest, with the Duke of Gloucester at the top and King Charles in second.

The Duke’s engagements increased by 12 percent from 100 in 2022 to 113 in 2023, while the King’s increased by eight percent from 181 in 2022 to 197 in 2023.

While Princess Anne was crowned the hardest-working royal once again, with the most official engagements at 212, her number has actually decreased by 1% from 214 in 2022.

Kate has previously been chastised for not performing as many royal responsibilities as expected, owing to the fact that she juggles her career with being a mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

She has taken on significantly more responsibilities in 2023 than her husband, Prince William, who has 16 fewer events this year than in 2022, dropping from 126 to 110.

Omid Scobie said in Endgame that Kate was “well out of her comfort zone” by her royal obligations, particularly at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019.

In the book, Scobie writes that when Kate first joined the Firm, palace aides “never pushed her too hard” because her major royal task was to create “heirs and spares.”

“Not long after their marriage, some critics deemed her ‘lazy’ because she avoided regular royal duties. Over the years, several factors made it easier to circumvent too many public-facing events, including William’s fierce protectiveness and her vital role of producing an heir (and spares) first and foremost,” he alleged.

“The Palace gatekeepers have always been more vigilant when it comes to Kate, never pushing her too hard, as the road to Queendom is a marathon, not a sprint.”

However, Kate’s actions speak louder than Scobie’s words since she believes in doing what she believes in without creating any controversy or buzz in order to stay in the spotlight.
