After being found guilty of third-degree assault and harassment, Marvel fired Jonathan Majors from playing Kang the Conqueror in any of the studio’s films.
According to US Weekly, a six-person jury in New York City found 34-year-old Majors guilty after three days of deliberation on Monday, December 18.
Later, he was found not guilty of one count of third-degree assault and one count of second-degree aggravated harassment. His sentencing date is February 6.
As the next big villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor was meant to play numerous individuals with the same face across the cosmos.
He returned as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania after a critically acclaimed performance as He Who Remains in Loki season 1, and he played Victor Timely in Loki season 2 earlier this year.
Because Avengers: Kang Dynasty is set to be released in 2026, it appeared that his characters will stay on screen for a long time.
However, only a few weeks after Quantumania in theaters, Majors was arrested for reportedly abusing a 30-year-old woman, who turned out to be his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
Majors denied the claims at the time, stating he had been assaulted.
