Who Will Take Over for Jonathan Majors as Kang in the MCU?

Jonathan Majors’ recent conviction on charges of domestic abuse and assault has put his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in jeopardy.

Majors appeared as a strong villain known as Kang the Conqueror in the titular TV series based on Loki Odinson, played by Tom Hiddleston, which premiered last year.

After being charged with domestic violence by his former partner Grace Jabbari in March of this year, the actor expressed concerns about his future in the universe.

However, MCU executives waited for the jury verdict in New York before excluding him from all future projects.

Majors was found guilty of one count of assault and harassment and sentenced to up to a year in prison beginning Feb. 6.

He has already appeared in three productions in the franchise, including Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Loki Season 2, establishing a precedent for future appearances.

Kang was also supposed to be a major cause of conflict in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, both of which were scheduled to be released in 2026 and 2027, respectively.

The latest announcement from a Marvel representative drove fans into a frenzy of curiosity about the time-warping villain’s recasting.

Internet people predicted that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ray Fisher, Trevante Rhodes, and Aldis Hodge would succeed Majors as Kang.

Furthermore, despite the actor’s refusal to take over as Majors, they think John Boyega from They Cloned Tyrone to be a viable successor.

A fan tweeted in response to Boyega’s photo of Anthony Mackie on his social media account last month, “tell anthony mackie to connect you w whoever in charge of recasting kang.”

The Star Wars actor answered with a gif of Shrek’s Donkey shaking his head in denial.

As of now, no announcements about replacements have been announced, so fans should brace themselves for the MCU to take as long as it takes.
