Mariah Carey Ignites Breakup Rumors with Bryan Tanaka After Seven Years of Marriage

Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka appeared to have separated after seven years of marriage.

The We Belong Together singer, 54, began her Merry Christmas One and All! tour in mid-November with her backup dancer boyfriend missing.

Tanaka’s absence from the tour fueled speculation that the couple had broken up. According to People Magazine, Carey, 54, will make her traditional holiday trip to Aspen, Colorado, without her backup dancer, 40, this year.

Carey, who has 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-husband Nick Cannon, has traditionally brought Tanaka with her to the icy vacation.

Tanaka did not join the family for the first time since they began dating in 2016.

The couple was last seen together in public in March, when the singer celebrated her birthday, which she prefers to call her “anniversary.”

Carey fueled rumors further when she told People Magazine earlier this month that she had a difficult year.

“I’ve been looking forward to this Christmas for, like, the whole year. Since last year — because last year wasn’t the greatest,” the Obsessed diva explained.

“I’m thankful for them all, but it wasn’t my most fun version of Christmas ever.”
