Ryan Reynolds’s dad James is the most important person in his life, and here’s proof.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are great parents to their four kids. Their first child, daughter James, was born in December 2014.

James is a popular and historic name for boys, but it’s not often given to girls. However, James’ name is special because it comes from her famous father.

The actor who plays Deadpool named his son James after his father, James Chester Reynolds, who died in 2015 after a long fight with Parkinson’s.

After James was born, her happy father talked about her name on Good Morning Britain. “My father just passed away, but my daughter’s named after him,” he said.

The actor also said, “In the spectrum of weird celebrity baby names, I don’t really feel like we’re breaking new ground here. I didn’t call her Summer Squash Meadowlark.”

Blake and Ryan are also the parents of six-year-old Inez and three-year-old Betty, as well as a new baby whose name or gender hasn’t been released yet.

During an appearance on CNBC’s Power Lunch right after the Super Bowl, Ryan was asked about his fourth kid.

When asked what gender their baby was, the actor just laughed and said, “I’m not telling, this ain’t a birth announcement.”
