January in Philly: The 40+ Biggest Events, Fests & Exhibitions


With the holiday season in the rearview and the heart of winter ahead, Philadelphia doesn’t slow down in the new year.

January brings a number of special events to Philly, starting with the 124th Mummers Parade on New Year’s Day. The Philadelphia Auto Show returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center with 700 vehicles in tow. And life-sized dinosaurs take over The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at family-friendly Jurassic Quest.

And the legacy of the civil rights leader is honored across Philadelphia during Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend (January 13-15, 2024) at institutions like The African American Museum in Philadelphia and the Museum of the American Revolution.
