Major Presenting Gig Lands on Holly Willoughby Just Two Weeks Before She Returns to TV

Holly Willoughby’s TV return was harmed when her new show was canceled after only one season.

Willoughby co-hosted the BBC show Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, as did Lee Mack. Following grueling training under Hof, eight celebrities embarked on an adventure.

After eight episodes, the network confirmed that the show will not be renewed for a second season.

Willoughby’s shocking departure from This Morning, which she co-hosted for 14 years, comes three months after an alleged kidnap and murder plan was hatched against her.

According to MailOnline, the former This Morning presenter, 42, will make her television comeback as a co-host alongside Stephen Mulhern in the reality show Dancing On Ice, which premieres on January 14.

According to a source close to Holly, the announcement “caps off … an extremely difficult year for Holly, which has seen her drastically reassess her life and career.”

“Having Freeze the Fear axed reduces her options and leaves a question mark over where she goes next after leaving her biggest gig as co-host of This Morning. It’s also disappointing for her husband Dan, who runs the production company Hungry Bear that made the show,” a person familiar with the matter said.
