Fake reviews being left for restaurant where alleged killing happened at Xmas

People are leaving fake Tripadvisor reviews of the Dublin restaurant where failed assassin Tristan Sherry was allegedly killed.

The 26-year-old burst into Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown around 8pm on Christmas Eve with a submachine gun. He is believed to have targeted a man in his 40s in the restaurant.

He fired shots before being allegedly stabbed up to 27 times. Michael Andrecut, 22, of Sheephill Avenue, Corduff, has since been charged with his murder.

But screenshots of restaurant reviews have appeared on social media, with one describing the incident and adding: “Overall, I won’t be taking the family back but I was definitely entertained.” The review gave the restaurant five stars for atmosphere.

Another review read: “A man machine-gunned an auld fella… and was then stabbed to death with steak knives. But a great night for the Snapchats!” The reviews are not currently on the Tripadvisor website. Browne’s was contacted for comment.
