Carey Mulligan Is Oblivious to Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ Craze

Taylor Swift’s Eras movement is unknown to Carey Mulligan.

The Great Gatsby actress responded to the question, “If you were a Taylor Swift era, which era would you be?” during a roundtable conversation with The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

Carey responded, “What does that mean?”

Emma Stone jumped in, saying, “She’s never heard of her.”

Although Carey is familiar with Taylor Swift’s music, she is unaware of the Era viral movement.

“Is an era an album? I’d be Folklore,” the Pride and Prejudice actress said.

“My husband sings on Folklore. And it’s lovely. ‘Cowboy Like Me,’” Carey said. It’s also rather gorgeous. ‘Cowboy Like Me,’ he says.

Emma concurred, saying, “I want to choose Folklore because your husband sings on it.”

Carey previously stated in a 2015 Vogue interview that Marcus Mumford “is the only thing that’s mine that I can keep totally away, so I try to.”

Felicia Montealegre, the wife of Leonard Bernstein, was commended by Carey, who is presently promoting Maestro. In 2023, she also appeared in Emerald Fennell’s film Saltburn.

Carey is also up for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama.

Meanwhile, the Golden Globes will be shown on CBS on January 7th.
