Despite a rocky divorce from ex Darius Jackson, Keke Palmer rang in the New Year 2024 with “happiness” like she’d never had before.

The Nope star expressed her thoughts on her present stage of life in a beautiful video of herself swimming with a stingray.

“I have never been so happy,” Keke wrote in a post on January 3. “Already 2024 has started off on the vibes I was looking for, more experiences and more enjoying what this beautiful world has to offer.”

“Look at my smile! I don’t even recognize me! I made a second connection with this girl here, I’m on clouuuuuud nine!” she added.

As demonstrated by this post, the 30-year-old has had a tumultuous few months. In November, Keke obtained a temporary restraining order against her former lover Darius Jackson.

They have a 10-month-old baby named Leodis Andrellton Jackson.

In documents acquired by NBC News, the former Nickelodeon star alleged that her ex-partner subjected her to emotional and physical abuse during their two-year relationship.

“So much of Darius’ abuse towards me throughout our relationship was based on his insecurity and jealousy,” he said, “that I became extremely concerned when Darius started to express jealousy about the time I was spending with our son.”
