Russel Brand got into trouble when, after an exposé in The Sunday Times on Friday, four women told horrifying stories about how the English comic sexually assaulted them.

After the accusations against the 48-year-old man came out, his wife, Laura Gallacher, responded in a quiet way.

The author of Joy Journal, who is 36 years old, closed her Instagram account after her husband got into another scandal, according to The Mirror. Her Instagram handle was @thejoyjournal, which is also the name of the book she published in 2020.

Gallacher is thought to have had their third child with Brand this month. They already have a 7-year-old daughter named Mabel and a 5-year-old daughter named Peggy. They had gotten married in 2017.

Before the comedian’s marriage to Katy Perry in 2010, Brand and Gallacher were an item. In 2012, the singer of “Firework” and Brand got a divorce because they had “irreconcilable differences.”

Gallacher fell in love quickly with the controversial comedian, even though they hadn’t seen each other in years. According to a report by Daily Mail, the writer said in an interview that their relationship felt “organized” by Brand because a common friend brought them together.

“He was so different. We both immediately knew it was going to be serious,” she said.

At the time, Gallacher’s friend said that she was “in love” with Brand and “wanted to fix him.”

Russell asked Laura to marry him in June 2016, and they got married in a small ceremony at Remenham Church near their home in Henley-on-Thames, which is in the English county of Oxfordshire.
