CLEVELAND, Ohio – Host Cleveland State captured the doubles point and took five of the six singles matches en route to a 5-1 victory over Binghamton men’s tennis in the spring opener for both programs Friday night at Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
The Bearcats’ lone win came off the racquet of sophomore No. 2 William Morais Binnie, who earned a hard-fought three-set victory. Binnie prevailed in the super tiebreak 10-8 in the second-to-last match of the evening.
Binghamton remains in Ohio to face Youngstown State Saturday morning.
