Presbyterian Falls to Georgia Tech


ATLANTA, Ga.. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (1-2) fell to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (3-0), 7-0, on the road on Friday afternoon. Georgia Tech is receiving votes in this week’s ITA rankings.
 
DOUBLES
Georgia Tech won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point.
 
SINGLES
Georgia Tech won all six singles matches. At number one singles, Presbyterian’s Javier Matos had five games in his first set go to deuce. At number five singles, Presbyterian’s Marco Foglieni battled Georgia Tech’s Krish Arora before falling in three sets. Foglieni won the first set, 6-4. Then, he lost the second set, 6-1. In the third set, they played a superset tiebreaker with Arora winning, 10-5.

Presbyterian plays their next five matches at the Templeton Tennis Courts beginning with a match against Lander next Friday, January 26 at 2 p.m.
