Ryan Reynolds Will Receive the Robin Williams Laughter Award

At the 11th annual Revels & Revelations event, Ryan Reynolds will be given the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award.

Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) stated on Wednesday that this year’s event will be held at City Winery in New York City on October 9.

According to Deadline, BC2M is an organization run by the American actress Glenn Close that works to improve mental health. Every year, the late actor’s children, Zak, Zelda, and Cody, give out the Laughter Award as an honor to their father.

In addition to Ryan, the award has been given to Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Stiller, the Smiths, Dan and Eugene Levy, Melissa McCarthy, and the Smith family.

Glenn told the outlet in a statement, “I am looking forward to a spectacular evening and am grateful for the generosity of my fellow artists who will gather to honor Ryan Reynolds and to inspire what I hope will be a record-breaking evening to keep and start important Bring Change to Mind Clubs across this country.”

Reba McEntire, a country music star, and Amy Schumer, a comedian, will both play at the benefit.

Also, musicians Jake Wesley Rogers, Jayli Wolf, and Wayne Brady, who is also a BC2M ambassador and performer, will play at the event.

At the same time, Scott Nevins will run an auction with gifts like a garden tour and lunch with Food Network star Ina Garten at her home in East Campton and a guitar signed by pop star Taylor Swift.

For those who don’t know, the money raised at the event will be used to help teens all over the United States with their mental health.
