Dior’s Winter 2024/2025 collection
The show was attended by many VIP guests like Lewis Hamilton, Bill Nighy, Kate Moss, Nicholas Hoult, Rita Ora, Princess Eugenie, and Pharrell Williams. Dior made sure to impress them and how!
Dior’s signature beige and muted colours got a burst of fashion as models added saffron yellow socks, lilac-blue sandals, and handbags to their look. The standout elements featured a radiant Renaissance cape-shawl adorned with silver scallop fringe, along with woolen coats creatively reimagined with dual sleeves that gracefully flowed down.
Jones described his work, “The collection, or rather collections, are about contrast: the contrasts in the House of Dior in terms of ready-to-wear and haute couture. It’s the difference between onstage and backstage; the life of Nureyev theatrically and in reality.”
Guests were also blown off by Dior’s polished trousers and textured knit collection that showcased Jones’ modern sensibility.
Designer Nigo’s collection
Designer Nigo’s Friday night show for Kenzo echoed the brand’s past. Nigo kicked off the autumn collection by reimagining checks—a microscopic perspective magnified into bold patterns, featuring silhouettes characterized by broad shoulders and flowing lapels.
Junya Watanabe’s urban fashion
Junya Watanabe carefully blended formal and casual attire for her collection. Their clothing, a deliberately layered fusion of styles, conveyed the essence of a carefully curated journey of a thrift shop. The garments showcased a blend of classic tailoring and streetwear influences, paying homage to his debut in 2001 when he initially united high fashion with everyday apparel.
