While she saw her partner win his way through to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open for the first time, it was a bittersweet moment of sorts for Morgan Riddle.
The influencer has made a name for herself by vlogging her glamourour life on tour following boyfriend Taylor Fritz, being described by the New York Times as “the most famous woman in men’s tennis,” given how often she is shown during his matches.
But clearly she was expecting an early exit from the Australian Open, declaring on Saturday she would eat a jar of Vegemite if Fritz were to win his next match, which came against Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Fritz had won his last encounter against Tsitsipas but lost the prior three, including a five-set loss at the Australian Open in 2022.
On Sunday, it was Fritz who saluted in four sets to seal a spot in the quarterfinals, where he’ll play Novak Djokovic.
Fritz looked to his box when celebrating the win and mouthed ‘I told you’ at them, later telling interviewer Adam Peacock he had told his box (including Riddle) he was going to win against last year’s finalist.
Peacock brought up Riddle’s promise before handing Fritz a jar of Vegemite, to which Fritz responded: “I won’t be partaking but I’ll make sure it happens.”
Fritz said he had tried it before and “wasn’t the biggest fan”.
