Syracuse, N.Y. – The Fordham women’s tennis team closed out its first weekend of spring competition with a 7-0 loss to Syracuse University at Drumlins Country Club on Sunday.
 
Two of the six singles matches went to a third set with Raffaela Alhach winning the first set at first singles over Miyuka Kimoto, 6-3, before dropping the second, 6-2, and the third, 6-4.
 
At third singles, Eleni Fasoula dropped the first set to Syracuse’s Kanapatskaya, 6-2, before rallying to win the second, 6-4. The tiebreaker was a hard fought set with Viktoriya Kanapatskaya pulling out a 15-13 win.
