COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Blue Hose women’s tennis team (1-2) lost to the South Carolina Gamecocks (2-0), 4-0 on the road on Sunday afternoon.
DOUBLES
South Carolina won the first two doubles matches in the number one and number two spots to clinch the doubles point.
SINGLES
The Gamecocks won all three singles matches before the other three matches were unfinished. South Carolina’s Elise Mills beat Presbyterian’s Madison Dennett in the number six spot with a score of 6-0, 6-1. At number two singles, South Carolina’s Sarah Hamner defeated PC’s Lucianna Piedra 6-1, 6-2. Presbyterian’s Claudia Sanchez lost to South Carolina’s Misa Malkin 6-2, 6-0 in the number four spot.

The Blue Hose will play their home opener on Thursday, January 25 against the Lander Bearcats at the Templeton Tennis Courts at 2:00 p.m.
