Devin Ratray, well known for his role in the Home Alone franchise, has been hospitalised and is believed to be in critical condition.

The 48-year-old actor was admitted to an intensive care unit after being hospitalised for cardiac problems, according to his defence counsel, Scott Adams.

According to a source, Ratray has been freed from the hospital and is now resting at home.

The Blue Ruin actor’s latest health scare comes in the aftermath of his domestic violence trial, which has been postponed until next month.

In 2021, he was charged of strangling his then-girlfriend by placing his hand on her lips on the bed in their hotel room. Ratray allegedly slapped her in the face after she bit his hand in an attempt to break away.

In a court document, an Oklahoma City police detective alleged that “while [Ratray was] strangling the victim, [he] stated the following: ‘This is how you die’.”

The actor had apparently been drinking hard at Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse on the day of the incident. The fight between the ex-couple began after his then-girlfriend gave out his autograph for free to two women at the bar.
