Mitchell 1 has opened applications for its annual Automotive Technology Scholarship, which includes a $2,500 award, an additional $500 check and roundtrip airfare and accommodations for the recipient and a guest to attend the North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) conference, July 22-25 in Indianapolis, IN.

“We’re proud to continue our support by offering this scholarship to a worthy student, so they can acquire the essential skills needed to achieve their career goals in this rewarding industry,” said Nick DiVerde, senior marketing director at Mitchell 1.

Eligibility for the scholarship is limited to U.S. and Canadian citizens who are either high school seniors enrolled in auto shop repair courses or current college students majoring in automotive technology. Applicants must have a nomination from their NACAT instructor, maintain a minimum overall 3.0 grade point average, and plan to attend or be already enrolled in an accredited college or university.

By applying through the Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship Central website, students not only apply for the Mitchell 1 scholarship but are also considered for multiple other scholarships for which they may be eligible. The deadline for application submissions is March 31.
