Dayana Yastremska defeats Linda Noskova 6-3, 6-4 to progress to the semi finals.

“It has to be one of the best matches she’s played from start to finish,” Sam Stosur says in commentary for Nine.

Yastremska is the first qualifier to make the semi finals at the Australian Open since Australian Kirsten Matheson in 1978.

“It’s nice to make history, [at] that time I still wasn’t born because I was [born in] 2000,” Yastremska says post-match.

“So it next generation, it’s nice to make history. I’m super happy, really happy. Tired.
