New Bismarck thrift store offers home decor and more at low prices

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Whether you’re looking to declutter your house or maybe add some new treasures to your home, there’s a new thrift store in Bismarck called Notes of Grace LLC that can help you out.

Notes of Grace LLC opened its doors in November by Joshua Vannote and Makayla Kuhn. The couple’s love of thrifting evolved into opening a store.

“I’ve been wanting to open a thrift store for a really long time. I’ve been an avid picker. I like to go to garage sales and stuff like that. And we met a few years ago, and that’s something that we’ve enjoyed doing,” said Vannote.

Notes of Grace LLC is accepting donations in good condition during business hours. They do not accept large furniture items and appliances

“A lot of the stuff that people think is garbage ends up being valuable or the things that we don’t find value in, some other person will really like them. So just think about what you’re donating,” said Vannote.

The couple plans on eventually having a designated area for free items.

“I’m calling it my mommy section, where I’m going to have free items for people to come in and pick like kids toys, clothing, blankets, maternity things like, as baby outgrows her things, I want to put those things in there. I have six kids. I know they grow out of things quickly, they get bored of things quickly and it’s so expensive and I want to be able to just give those things away to people that need them and can’t afford them otherwise,” said Kuhn.
