Animal Control Investigates ‘RHOC’ Shannon Beador for ‘Endangering’ Dog Archie

Animal control is now involved in Shannon Beador’s arrest mess because she crashed her car into a house while drunk and had her dog, Archie, in the car with her.

Page Six says that the Newport Beach Police Department’s animal control unit is looking into whether the Bravolebrity, 59, put her Golden Retriever, Archie, who has been a guest on the reality TV show more than once, in danger.

Sgt. Steve Oberon told the outlet on Friday, “We don’t have animal endangering laws like you would with children but we do have animal cruelty laws, so he’s going to look into that a little bit further.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested Saturday night for driving drunk and hitting a house. She then drove away and parked her car in the middle of the street.

TMZ said that when the police came, the mother of three was pretending to walk Archie, who was also in the car when the accident happened.

Lisa Lange, the Senior Vice President of PETA, criticized Beador for putting her dog in danger. She said, “If your dog or child is in a vehicle or even waiting for you at home, that’s an extra incentive to never drive drunk or buzzed.”

Later, Sgt. Oberon told Page Six that the dog didn’t seem to be hurt, so he will stay in Beador’s care. However, he did as she asked and “dropped off at someone’s house to take care of it while she was dealing with her situation.”

Sergeant Oberon didn’t say who is taking care of the sick senior dog right now, but a source for Page Six says it’s Beador’s ex-boyfriend John Janssen, who Beador has been leaning on for support since the event.
