FS Tennis Club Launches Revamped Pro Shop and Branding

Future Stars Tennis Club is quickly making its way to becoming the one-stop-shop for all things tennis in the Hamptons. Founded in 2012, Future Stars Tennis Club opened as a year-round branch of Future Stars Summer Camps, created by Charlie Vandercook in 1980. While Future Stars Camps and Tennis Club share the same division of land as the Southampton Youth Services, or more commonly known around town as the SYS, they are two separate entities– something I have always been slightly confused about despite living here my entire life. Founder Charlie Vandercook has since retired from the Future Stars brand but has left behind a Southampton-based team comprised of Sean Johnson, Director of Operations, Pablo Montesi, Tennis Director, and Amanda Taylor, Office Manager. Johnson, Montesi, and Taylor continue running all camp and club operations.

Southampton local Sean Johnson joined the team in 2015 and has been working to develop the brand, making huge strides in the last three years alone. Expanding from 4 courts to 8 during the COVID-19 Pandemic solidified the team’s first major step in becoming the leading tennis facility in the community. In January 2023, they hired another Southampton local, Amanda Taylor, as office manager. Taylor and Johnson have spearheaded revamping FS Tennis Club’s logo and branding, including updates to the pro shop and clubhouse.

FS Tennis Club has always offered merchandise, but it is not as trendy as its latest drop. By moving from classics like tennis racquets and racquet accessories to t-shirts, sweatshirts, water bottles, and bags that don the updated and funky FS Tennis Club logo and graphics, the club is taking our community by storm with many considering it the hottest spot to sweat it out. The best part is they’re a membership-free club boasting an easy, headache-free pay-as-you-play system. Just download the app for iPhone or Android, check out their website at FSTennisClub.com or call the front desk for all your booking inquiries.

Future Stars Tennis Club has anywhere from 10 to 30 international tennis pros on staff during any season. Need a private lesson; want to join an adult league with your friends; need to get back on the court but don’t know where to start? FS Tennis Club is open every day from 7am to 8pm with play options available for just about anyone.

Having soft launched their pro shop in Fall 2023, they are gearing up for a bigger push in Summer 2024. Stay tuned for next week’s article, where I take you for a tennis lesson with an in-house pro at the Tennis Club.
