Perhaps shocking, but not as shocking as what Lee’s mother did. Before being consoled by a fellow fan, ESPN cameras filmed her ripping the spectacles off her face, crushing them with her hands, and then throwing the shards on the ground. On Sunday, Lee withdrew from the championships due to a medical condition, meaning he will conclude his final competition in sixth position.
