Cats Avoid Shutout at Colorado State – Abilene Christian University Athletics


FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Freshman Libby Blair ended Abilene Christian’s 6-1 loss to Colorado State on a positive note on Friday, scoring a win at No. 6 singles.
 
Blair got the 6-3, 6-3 win over Logan Voeks to break up CSU’s shutout bid.
 
Blair finished ACU’s trip to Colorado with two singles wins and a doubles victory.
 
Olivia Sears lost in three sets but fell in a 7-3 tiebreaker in third singles.
 
Andrea Guerrero got a first-set win but lost in three sets on the fourth line.
 
Guerrero and Maria Cascos were locked in a 4-4 tie in third doubles when CSU clinched the doubles point and the match went unfinished.
